2-1 DETERMINATION OF THE STABILITY OF THE RAILWAY ROADBED
Abstract
The purpose of this work is to analyze the stability of subgrade structures of different heights. The stability of the railway roadbed is associated with the need to study the stress-strain state (SSS) of the slopes of the roadbed. Their strength and stability depend on geometric parameters - embankments and excavations, slope steepness, and types of impact: static loads (own weight) and dynamic impacts (seismicity or explosion).
Key words : stress-strain state, slope stability, design diagram, soil characteristics, seismic impact .
- INTRODUCTION. The railway track, being one of the main technical means of railway transport, must be stable and durable, ensuring reliable, safe and timely passage of passenger and freight trains along it at established speeds. At the same time, ensuring the stability and uninterrupted functioning of railways is a significant reserve for increasing the efficiency of railway transport as a whole [1,2].
